We have another tough blow for the Montreal Canadiens ahead of Game 4 against the Washington Capitals. In fact, we could even say.. two tough blows!
Alex Ovechkin's squad could be getting some major reinforcements (literally) as early as tonight.
Aliaksei Protas appears ready to return for the Capitals in Game 4:
"He's at full speed at practice. Everything seems to be going well."
Not only will the Capitals seemingly add a 6-foot-6 player to their lineup, but this player also ranked as the 9th best player in the entire National Hockey League this season at 5-on-5.
He is also the Capitals' best 5-on-5 player.
No, this is definitely not good news for the Habs.
"Logan Thompson could, miraculously, play tonight.
Protas also seems ready to play.
Monty is day-to-day. Primeau backing up Dobes.
Savard missed practice but should play.
The drama of this series is reaching new heights."

We'll be keeping a close eye on this for you, but while the Caps are getting major reinforcements and great news from the infirmary, it's the complete opposite for the Habs.
Renaud Lavoie (TVA Sports) puts it even more clearly.
It's now confirmed for the Capitals: Logan Thompson is back in net, a major reinforcement, while Protas remains out.
