Head coach of the Washington Capitals, Spencer Carbery, was asked today about the injury to his goaltender Logan Thompson. Just like Samuel Montembeault, Thompson left yesterday's game due to an injury.

In short, the news isn't good for Thompson following the following scene:
It all started a little earlier today when we learned that Thompson did not practice with his teammates.
"No Thompson on the ice this afternoon for the Caps."

And it continued during the Capitals head coach's press conference.

Spencer Carbery Announces That Charlie Lindgren Is Expected to Start Tomorrow Night

This confirms what Lindgren seemed to hint at in his interview, and it confirms that we should expect Thompson to be out.
Carbery made a statement about the exact duration of Thompson's absence, but kept his cards close to his chest.
Carbery spoke at length about Charlie Lindgren's abilities, who is expected to start Game 4 after replacing Thompson.

"This will be our next guy, and we know Chucky Lindgren.

He's done an excellent job, he's a great goalie," said Carbery.

"There's no fear that our group will lose ground or that our staff will lose confidence.

We have two excellent goalies."

Lindgren and Clay Stevenson took part in the optional skate at the Bell Centre, with Thompson not skating.

This will be a situation to watch, but it's not looking good for Thompson and the Capitals.
Logan Thompson, 28 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 207-pound goalie who posted a 31-6-6 record this season, with a 2.49 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.
Charlie Lindgren, a familiar name to Montreal Canadiens fans, is now 31 years old. He stands 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 190 pounds.
This season with the Capitals, Lindgren has a 20-14-3 record, with a 2.68 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage.
