Corey Perry's Retirement: He just made a surprising announcement ahead of game 7
Former Montreal Canadien forward, Corey Perry, just made an unexpected announcement regarding the timing of his retirement.
Questioned about this in a press conference just moments ago, here's what Perry had to say.
Corey Perry, when asked if tomorrow would be his last game in his NHL career:
"Uh, no. I still have more to give. There's much more in me: another five years."
(The media scrum laughs).
"What's so funny? I feel like I'm 25!"

Will Corey Perry pull a Jaromir Jagr?
Retirement for Corey Perry? Forget about it
In any case, he seems determined to play several more seasons in the National Hockey League and doesn't seem ready to talk about retirement at all.
«Retirement for Corey Perry after Monday's game? That doesn't seem to be in the plans for the Oilers' forward.» - NHL
Wow!
Perry, who is now 39 years old, has tallied 22 points in 54 games this season with the Edmonton Oilers and the Chicago Blackhawks (12 goals).
He has scored one goal (but what a goal), in 17 games, during the current 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.
We certainly wish him another Stanley Cup, and most importantly, many more wonderful seasons in the NHL, whether with the Edmonton Oilers or elsewhere.
