We just got a worrying announcement from Renaud Lavoie, regarding the health status of young Ivan Demidov.

Following that absolutely embarrassing and useless move by Nick Cousins..
Renaud Lavoie (from TVA Sports) has now announced that young Ivan Demidov (injured) left the game..
"Ivan Demidov leaves the game after taking a slash on the hand."

- Renaud Lavoie
He never came back afterward, and he wasn't even able to return to the ice to salute the fans, despite being named the third star of tonight's game in Quebec, against the Ottawa Senators.
Lane Hutson and Brendan Gallagher, however, did return to the ice to greet the fans, which clearly shows that something is wrong with Demidov.

Very concerning development regarding the health status of Ivan Demidov

It was literally the worst-case scenario seeing Demidov get injured like that!
Let's really hope it's not too serious!
It's rare that I let myself get carried away when reporting news, but what a clown Nick Cousins is!
In my opinion, he clearly knew what he was doing and deliberately tried to injure Ivan Demidov (which he visibly succeeded in doing).
Deliberately trying to injure an opposing player, especially in a pre-season game, especially with a stick, is probably the most cowardly act a hockey player can commit.
We will keep you updated on young Demidov's condition, but we truly hope to receive more reassuring news soon.
Losing Demidov to start the season would be really bad news for Martin St-Louis' squad, especially since he finally seemed to have found his linemate.
More details to come.

Does this slash by Cousins deserve a suspension?
