Juraj Slafkovsky's Attitude Under Scrutiny at Canadiens Training Camp

Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky is entering the first year of his massive 8-year contract, bringing him 7.6 million per year.
He should normally really be ready to take the next step, so experts are closely monitoring his training camp.
Juraj Slafkovsky's attitude got people talking at the start of camp
In particular, TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau published a video a few days ago that summed up the situation well.

He also spoke about Slafkovsky's effort level and attitude..
"Listen, he was paired with a guy named Darick Louis-Jean, who is a defenseman that has never collected more than, get this, 13 points in the QMJHL..
A guy who played in the ECHL and it was far from convincing for Slafkovsky.
Not only did he get completely demolished by Louis-Jean at one point along the boards, and instead of seeing Slafkovsky wake up and show a bit of pride, we saw him smile, play softly, and act as if losing a battle against a guy like that invited to camp wasn't a big deal.
In the following drill, Louis-Jean breaks Slafkovsky's stick (imagine!), roughs him up, and again, Slaf smiles, lifts his helmet and has no problem with it.

He even added that Slafkovsky was practically dragging his feet during Martin St-Louis' skating drills at the end, unlike Lane Hutson, Nick Suzuki and the others.
These are indeed embarrassing gestures to make in front of his teammates in Brossard, but the good news is that, since these comments from the excellent Anthony Martineau, there seems to have been improvement.
It will definitely be something to watch for Slafkovsky until the end of camp.
As a reminder, he, along Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, will not be in uniform tonight to face the Ottawa Senators in Quebec City.
