Following a more difficult start to the season for the Quebec-born Montreal Canadiens goalie Samuel Montembeault, David Pagnotta just delivered a surprise.
The insider from The Fourth Period just brought back to the table a trade rumor sending Montembeault to the Edmonton Oilers.
And they would be ready to take another run at it!

Jacob Fowler is having an exceptional start to the season with the Laval Rocket.
He's playing like a goalie who wants to be called up and who wants his shot with the Canadiens!
If Kent Hughes ever does trade Montembeault to the Oilers, it would obviously be for a forward!
Samuel Montembeault, 29 years old, has a record of 4-5-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 3.56 and a save percentage of .858.
He is one of the worst goalies in the NHL (statistically) this season.
