Samuel Montembeault linked to Oilers in new insider trade discussions

Following a more difficult start to the season for the Quebec-born Montreal Canadiens goalie Samuel Montembeault, David Pagnotta just delivered a surprise.
The insider from The Fourth Period just brought back to the table a trade rumor sending Montembeault to the Edmonton Oilers.
We know the Oilers officially tried to acquire Montembeault a few months ago...
And they would be ready to take another run at it!

It still seems early to talk about this, but let's still mention (in passing) that goalie Jacob Fowler is having an exceptional start to the season with the Laval Rocket.
He's playing like a goalie who wants to be called up and who wants his shot with the Canadiens!
If Kent Hughes ever does trade Montembeault to the Oilers, it would obviously be for a forward!
