Jared Davidson's NHL debut game with the Canadiens sparks talk of a possible NHL sanction

Last night, the young forward for the Montreal Canadiens, Jared Davidson, played his very first career game in the National Hockey League.
While the Boston Bruins were visiting the Bell Centre,
new call-up Jared Davidson experienced a very special moment and notably got his traditional "rookie lap," without a helmet, of course!

It's great to see, but that's not all...
A fine for young Jared Davidson following his first career game in the NHL
We talk about it every time, to highlight how ridiculous it is, but Gary Bettman and the NHL have a rather special way of welcoming a new player to the league... with a fine!
Obviously, it is strictly forbidden, by the National Hockey League, for a new player to step onto the ice without a helmet (under penalty of a fine).
That said, generally, we imagine that the organizations pay these fines directly, but it still remains a pretty ridiculous rule... especially for these small traditions, let's say!
Otherwise, speaking of young Jared Davidson, he had a good game (overall)!
He played exactly the way he was sold to us, and exactly the way we hoped he would play in the NHL... with intensity, grit, and fire!
"Jared Davidson comes as advertised.
He's gotten limited ice time, but he's put 4 pucks on net, and he's provided an honest effort every single shift.
I think St-Louis will quickly learn to love this kid."
- Marc Dumont
"Jared Davidson's first few shifts come exactly as advertised.
Shoots, physical, well-positioned."
- Marco D'Amico
Davidson brought a lot of intensity and physicality last night, and he delivered numerous body checks!
Coming from a player capable of scoring in bunches (9 goals in 13 games this season with the Laval Rocket, no less), it's very interesting!
And you - do you believe Jared Davidson will stay with the Montreal Canadiens longer than expected?
