We have just witnessed a worrying scene live from the Bell Centre. Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy, the most-used player on his team, took a puck directly to the face after a powerful shot fired by Montreal Canadiens defenseman Noah Dobson.

It was really not pretty to watch!

You can imagine that reactions are pouring in on social media.
"Oh man, Charlie McAvoy just took Noah Dobson's one-timer right in the face. That was really scary."

We sincerely hope that the young McAvoy is okay.
At the time of writing, the Montreal Canadiens are trailing the Bruins 3-2 at the Bell Centre, following a beautiful goal scored by Cole Caufield.
The Boston Bruins have now confirmed that McAvoy will not return to tonight's game.
