Since the unnecessary hit delivered by Nick Cousins last night, all eyes have been on the health status of young Ivan Demidov.

Let's remember that Demidov left last night's game in Quebec, did not return afterward, and wasn't even able to come back on the ice to salute the fans, despite being named the game's third star.
That said, after the game, we received two more updates.

Martin St-Louis and Alexandre Carrier confirm relatively encouraging news regarding Ivan Demidov

"However, that's not the only interesting aspect mentioned by Carrier in all this. He mainly stated that nobody was injured in the Canadiens' camp."

"We can assume that Demidov, who played a bit after the hit, was pulled from the game as a precaution. After all, with how low the level of play had fallen on the ice, protecting the jewel wasn't a bad idea."

- Charles-Alexis Brisebois

So it's still a situation to keep an eye on, but there's a certain wind of optimism today for Demidov!
Following Carrier's statements, we received a second confirmation, this time coming directly from head coach Martin St-Louis:
Habs coach Marty St. Louis when asked if he was worried about Ivan Demidov:

"Not right now. He's still being evaluated, so not right now."
We will keep you quickly informed of any further developments and announcements regarding the health of young Demidov.
