The name Sam Bennett sparks interest across many NHL teams, and the Montreal Canadiens are no exception.

We're talking about a tough, productive forward, extremely difficult to play against, built for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and known as an excellent teammate.
Who wouldn't want a player like that?
However, as we reported in recent hours, Bennett reportedly has a very specific idea of where he wants to play next season.
That said, it hasn't stopped teams like the Habs from trying their luck.

A Specific Request from Sam Bennett for Teams Like the Montreal Canadiens

Max Truman shared some very interesting info in a recent article, and it directly concerns the asking price for Bennett.
"The problem is, his team hasn't been eliminated yet.. and he's going to ask for a ton of money.

I was recently told he wants at least $8 million per season.. in a tax-friendly environment.

That means at least $9.5 or $10 million in a place like Quebec."

- Maxime Truman

Essentially, Truman mentions that he recently learned Bennett would ask for at least $9.5 to $10 million per year in a market like Quebec, and for a team like the Montreal Canadiens.
So, the ask and the price tag are crystal clear.
We recommend reading the full article.
At that price, would you still want Bennett on the Canadiens?
