The wife of an NHL player, David Kampf, unintentionally created a buzz on the web in Toronto by making a simple post to congratulate her husband, who reached an impressive milestone.

Did Eliska Kampf send a message to the Leafs' head coach?

This is what many Toronto media outlets are suggesting, but as we mentioned in the title, we believe she is simply proud of her man and wanted to publicly acknowledge it.

Essentially, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe controversially decided to scratch Kampf from the lineup just as he was about to play his 325th consecutive game.

This decision has been a hot topic of discussion there.

Kampf is arguably their best defensive forward, top penalty killer, and a center who wins a lot of faceoffs for the Leafs. He is well-liked by fans.

Kampf has certainly outperformed his contract during his two seasons with Toronto, setting career highs in goals and points.

In short, during the Maple Leafs game that her husband probably should have played, Eliska Kampf went on social media to post what you see above.

It caused quite a stir in Toronto for reasons we don't understand, but as you know, like Montreal, it's a very intense and passionate hockey market.

Kampf has scored 4 goals and collected 7 points in 33 games this season. His average ice time per game dropped from 15:18 to 13:05 over the weeks.

Bringing it back to Montreal, do you think it would cause as much buzz if, for example, the wife of a Christian Dvorak made such a post if Dvorak was ever removed from the lineup by Martin St-Louis?

It should be noted that Eliska Kampf is an extremely impressive and strong woman. See her workout photos.

They are splendid! Anyway, she is in great shape!
