St-Louis sends message to underperforming young Canadiens player: 'You've got to be responsible'
During a press conference earlier today, the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, was asked to comment on Joshua Roy.
After a solid start to the season with the Laval Rocket, his situation is still unusual. The kid has real talent, but there's no avoiding the truth: he's been disappointing for a few years now.
It's tough to say it that way, but it's the truth.
Martin St-Louis sends a message to Joshua Roy, while giving him a little pat on the back
See his response when a reporter asked what the ideal role would be for Joshua Roy with the Montreal Canadiens:
"I don't know yet, you know, he's still a... a young player, but to find yourself a spot, you've got to be responsible!
And that's it...
I really liked his game in Columbus.
He's capable of making good offensive plays, but I liked his board work, I really liked what he did."

Clearly, Martin wants Joshua to focus on his defensive game first and foremost!

Joshua Roy, 22 years old, has 0 points in 2 games this season with the Montreal Canadiens (7 points in 10 games with the Laval Rocket), and he has collected 11 points in 37 career games in the NHL.
Roy played 11 minutes and 30 seconds against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
And in a game decided by thin margins, Roy's costly slip in front of the net that allowed Fantilli to bury Columbus' second goal stood out as the moment that defined his night.
