We once again have changes to report with the Montreal Canadiens.
We once again have a different name today beside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki when looking at the line combinations!
"Long discussion between Martin St-Louis and
Zachary Bolduc just before the start of practice.
Bolduc is once again skating with Suzuki and Caufield on the first line today."
- Patrick Guillet
It's always risky to break up a line that works extremely well and is one of the best and most consistent in the National Hockey League, but I'll admit that I like this experiment.
"It's up to Marty, what he's gonna do, how he's gonna play us. It's good to know that we have a good chemistry between each other. We're skilled enough guys that we can play with anyone."
- Slafkovsky
If Juraj Slafkovsky and
Ivan Demidov can develop incredible chemistry, and if things can work for Zack Bolduc with Suzuki and Caufield, we could have two very solid lines.
Zachary Bolduc, 22 years old, has 6 points in 19 games this season (4 goals) after a strong start to the year.
Juraj Slafkovsky, 21 years old, has 9 points in 19 games this season (6 goals) after putting up 51 points last season.
As for the full line combos, that gives us:
"Caufield-Suzuki-Bolduc
Slafkovsky-Kapanen-Demidov
Roy-Evans-Anderson
Davidson-Veleno-Gallagher"
Martin St-Louis clearly wants to see what results a line of Juraj Slafkovsky, Ivan Demidov and
Oliver Kapanen can produce.
And you, who would you put on the first line with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield?
