The slash delivered by Nick Cousins to Ivan Demidov is still making waves in Montreal and across the National Hockey League.
We've just learned earlier today that Cousins has been sanctioned for his actions.
But despite all that, there's another interesting detail worth pointing out.
Nick Cousins had just tried to deliver a big hit on Ivan Demidov, but he completely missed!
As some sharp observers noticed, not only did Cousins try to injure Demidov with his cowardly slash, but he had also made another attempt (with the same intentions) just moments earlier!

That means that just seconds before the slash, Cousins had already tried to hit Demidov hard into the boards, but failed! Yes, Nick Cousins tried to injure Ivan Demidov twice.
Was he frustrated about missing his hit on Demidov, so he followed it up with a slash?
Either way, it really wasn't a good look for Nick Cousins.
