We experienced an incredible evening yesterday for the third game of this series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals.

Obviously, the big story is the Canadiens' 6-3 victory, but the other major story here is the injury suffered by goaltender Samuel Montembeault.
He had to leave the game after stopping 11 of the 13 shots he faced, giving way to young Jakub Dobes, who held down the fort by stopping 7 of the 8 shots from the Capitals late in the game.
The work of both goalies, in particular, allowed the Canadiens to cut the series deficit to 2-1 in this first-round matchup.
Following this big win for Montreal, we also experienced a magical moment between our two goalies.
See the footage:
It's so beautiful to see, and such a wonderful gesture from both Montembeault and Dobes. It truly represents the spirit of the team.

Details on the injury suffered by Samuel Montembeault

As we reported earlier today, well-known sports doctor Harjas Grewal suggested it could potentially be a hamstring strain or cramps:
As insider Elliotte Friedman noted, it was specifically Monty's left leg that took the damage.
"On top of things as always, our crew caught Montembeault bothered by something in left leg"

We will, of course, closely monitor the situation for you over the next few hours and ahead of the game scheduled for tomorrow night at 6:30 PM live from the Bell Centre.
