Bettman and the NHL Sanction Warmup Incident, and Canadiens Fans Can't Believe It

The National Hockey League is not making any friends in Montreal since the start of the playoffs.
Whether it's due to questionable officiating or questionable decisions from the Department of Player Safety, there are certainly questions to be asked.
In both cases, Canadiens players took dangerous cross-checks to the face, and in both cases, the National Hockey League completely turned a blind eye.
Not even a simple meaningful fine.
Anyway, where am I going with this? Toward something even more ridiculous.
The NHL is investigating an "incident" that happened during a warmup this week
"Sources indicate that the NHL is investigating an incident that occurred during the warmup before Game 3 between the Leafs and Senators. [...]
Let's see where this leads us..."
GoaliePost
And what is this "incident"?
Well, it's
Nick Cousins taking a shot toward opposing goaltender
Anthony Stolarz, just for laughs, since the two are friends off the ice.
At the press conference, the Ottawa Senators players and coaches were laughing about the situation, because it's just that ridiculous.
The NHL might punish Nick Cousins quite severely for a friendly shot directed at his friend during warmups, yet this same NHL did nothing for two dangerous cross-checks to the faces of Montreal Canadiens players.
We will keep you updated on developments, but sanctions are expected according to experts following this case.
Update: The NHL has finally decided to drop the hammer with a big fine on Cousins and the Senators organization!
