Exact Sequence of Samuel Montembeault's Injury Revealed and a Video Is Released

The excellent Martin Biron, whom you can also occasionally hear on BPM Sports, has just pinpointed the exact sequence where Montembeault got injured last night against the Washington Capitals.

He noticed an interesting detail.

It's quite incredible.

As Biron points out, the injury appears to occur at the very beginning of the second period.

During the next commercial break, almost magically, we see Jakub Dobes leave his seat and head toward the Montreal Canadiens' locker room (likely to get ready and warm up).

Then, Montembeault returns to the net for another 5 minutes.. and afterward, during the second commercial break of the period, that's when the actual change happens.

As the expert mentions, the fact that Montembeault was able to push through for nearly 7 minutes could be a positive clue regarding his potential return date.

Another point.

What class from Montembeault, to warn Dobes well in advance, to fight through his injury for a while, allowing his young teammate to properly get ready and warmed up.

It's a small detail, but it really isn't insignificant!
