All Five Waived Canadiens Players Clear, Futures Now Decided

We've got some action in the NHL and with the Montreal Canadiens.
It has just been confirmed for the five Habs players who were placed on waivers yesterday.
These players ultimately were NOT claimed on waivers, which means Kent Hughes can move and immediately assign them to the Laval Rocket-excellent news for Pascal Vincent's squad.
The Rocket therefore gets some big reinforcements right away.
The 5 Habs players placed on waivers were not claimed, including Sean Farrell
The one most likely to be claimed was Sean Farrell, and if he had been put on waivers during the season, he almost certainly would have been picked up. But Kent Hughes played this perfectly.
He knew that by placing him on waivers earlier, the chances of seeing him claimed (and lost for nothing) were much slimmer.
Hughes won his bet!
As for the five names mentioned above, we're talking about forwards Alex Belzile, Lucas Condotta, and Sean Farrell, along with defensemen Nathan Clurman and Marc Del Gaizo.
Sean Farrell, 23, is a 5-foot-9, 175-pound forward drafted by the Canadiens in the 4th round of the 2020 draft. Last season, he recorded 44 points in 67 games with the Laval Rocket.
The 2025-26 season will be a crucial one for him if he wants to prove he truly has what it takes to reach the NHL.
