Kent Hughes pulled off a stroke of genius by acquiring young Zachary Bolduc in return for Logan Mailloux earlier this summer.

"He had quite a second half of the season," said Armstrong.

"I think he will become an excellent player in the NHL.

It was heartbreaking because I know Bolduc's potential.

But, at some point, you have to take risks."

"He's a right-handed defenseman who skates very well and has an excellent shot from the point," noted Armstrong when speaking about Mailloux.

"NHL defensemen take more time to develop and to reach full maturity...It's a calculated risk."

We then learned that Kent Hughes didn't leave his counterpart much choice.

Zachary Bolduc Could Really Hurt Joshua Roy

The arrival of Bolduc in the Canadiens' organization is more than positive-except, perhaps, for Joshua Roy.
The latter has had numerous opportunities to prove himself within the organization and never truly wanted to seize them.
In the end, Bolduc, through his talent and work ethic, will take Roy's place in the very role that was originally envisioned for him.
The newcomer could even do much better than Roy, as many predict he'll have several seasons of 20+ goals in the years ahead.
With another season at 835K, Roy could very well depart for other horizons sooner rather than later, especially if he gets off to a good start with the Laval Rocket.
