The recent acquisition by the Montreal Canadiens, Zachary Bolduc, acquired in a trade with the St. Louis Blues in July, has sent quite a message.
That says a lot about his attitude!
Even though he is not really known as a penalty kill player, Bolduc has just outright proposed to Martin St-Louis that he could be used in that role if needed. Wow.
Zachary Bolduc Is Ready to Do Anything to Help the Montreal Canadiens
"Zack Bolduc says he's ready to play on the Canadiens' penalty kill and that he simply wants to help the team win."
Bolduc has mentioned it many times - he simply wants to help the Montreal Canadiens win, no matter his role or what he's asked to do!
"I want to help the Canadiens be a better team, whether it's five-on-five, on the power play, or on the penalty kill. I've never really had the chance to play on the penalty kill, but I'm smart and I see the game well. It's something I could add to my toolbox. I'm going to come in with that mindset."
- Zachary Bolduc, in an interview with La Presse
Now that's a winning attitude!
Personally, I truly think Bolduc will become a solid top-six forward in the National Hockey League, and knowing he genuinely wants to become a complete player, I believe I would give him a chance at center for one or two preseason games.
Zachary Bolduc, 22 years old, is a 6-foot, 187-pound forward who recorded 36 points in 72 games last season, including 19 goals - but most notably, he collected 14 points in his last 19 games, with nine goals.
He's on the verge of breaking out for good.
