We have two small updates to share with you this morning, just a few hours before the matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks.
St-Louis has decided to keep young Demidov in the same role. So you can expect Demidov to once again be the least-used player today in Chicago.
"No changes in the Canadiens' lineup tonight, according to the duos and trios at morning practice" - Renaud Lavoie
A change announced by the Montreal Canadiens
"Montembeault to start; no other projected changes to Saturday's lineup"
- Montreal Canadiens
He'll try to earn his first win of the season against the struggling Chicago Blackhawks.
Samuel Montembeault, 28 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 218-pound goaltender who posted a 31-24-7 record last season, with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
This season (after just one game, of course), he has a 0-1-0 record, a 3.07 goals-against average, and a .880 save percentage.
As for young Ivan Demidov, he has recorded 1 point in 2 games, averaging 12 minutes and 42 seconds of ice time per game so far this season.
I imagine his role will grow as the season progresses, but unfortunately, that won't be happening just yet.
