Logan Mailloux's debut with the St. Louis Blues hasn't lived up to expectations. His start, to put it bluntly, has been quite rough.

There were high hopes for the former Montreal Canadiens defenseman. He even received praise from his new teammates early in training camp and delivered some very solid performances during the preseason.
Those performances even earned him a spot with the main roster.
The organization reportedly told him to find a place to live in St. Louis.

A Very Tough First Game for Logan Mailloux

Despite all the good things he showed in exhibition games, it seems Mailloux reverted to some old habits in his team's season opener.
Against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night, Mailloux was limited to 14 minutes and 12 seconds of ice time and finished the game with a -2 rating.
"1 period and Mailloux already seams to be the defensive liability scouts claimed he was. Hopefully it was just nerves and he grows quickly into his role."

Meanwhile, Zachary Bolduc-the player acquired in the trade that sent Mailloux to St. Louis-has had an excellent start to the season.
Unlike Mailloux, the Quebec native had what many would call a mediocre training camp.
However, since the start of the regular season, the Canadiens' new number 76 has come alive, scoring two goals (almost three) in as many games.
That was all it took for comparisons between Bolduc and Mailloux to surface on social media. Blues fans, in particular, have been highly critical of their GM, Doug Armstrong.
"Needless to say it wasn't great for Logan Mailloux in his debut, but there is a lot for him to learn after tonight's 5-0 loss.

Zack Bolduc on the other hand netted his second goal of the season in GoHabsGo big 5-1 win."
The bad news for Mailloux is that, according to reports out of St. Louis, his spot in the team's regular lineup is already in jeopardy.
