Many agree that Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens won it handily.
That said, the Blues have high hopes for their new defenseman, and they are certain he will be an important player in their organization for years to come.
A training camp start for Logan Mailloux that is impressing in St. Louis
According to several journalists covering the Blues, Mailloux will be one of the most intriguing players to watch during this training camp.
The newcomer has already managed to impress, as several of his teammates privately told Andy Strickland that the defenseman impressed them.
Some Blues players went to see journalists to speak up regarding Logan Mailloux and to ease the anger of certain fans following the trade
It's fair to say that the former Hab has pressure on his shoulders, especially since in Montreal, Zachary Bolduc is already almost assured a spot on the main roster.
Worse still, he is projected to put up a solid number of points in the coming years and play an important role in the team's future success.
Mailloux will have to prove he belongs in the NHL as soon as this season-something his new GM, Doug Armstrong, believes he can do.
We remember that the anger among fans in St. Louis was quick to erupt following the announcement of the trade.
They were furious to see one of their best prospects leave in exchange for a player who has yet to prove anything.
Hopefully, Mailloux will be able to change their minds.
