The well-known David Pagnotta has just confirmed the rumor currently circulating about Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
We already knew the Canadiens were looking to add help at center, but according to Pagnotta's sources, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton remain very active right now-yes, even in the middle of summer-as they work on trying to finalize a trade.
We love it!
There are now several sources saying the same thing. So this year, don't be surprised if a major trade is announced in the middle of July.

Some potential trade targets for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens
There are a few options on the table, based on circulating information.
The home run move would obviously be young Anaheim Ducks center Mason McTavish, who reportedly isn't very happy there at the moment.
But there are also some other interesting options, including Jared McCann (Seattle Kraken), Marco Rossi (Minnesota Wild), Jean-Gabriel Pageau (New York Islanders), and possibly even Nick Schmaltz (Utah Mammoth).
These are names that could be solid stopgaps while waiting for the arrival of a certain Michael Hage-except in McTavish's case, who would clearly be a long-term solution.
In any case, rest assured that Kent Hughes is doing everything he can to improve the team ahead of next season.
