Former Canadiens Goalie among 43 Players Placed on Waivers

We've had a lot of NHL waiver action today, particularly involving Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
First, as we reported earlier today, the Canadiens made several roster moves, including placing forward Samuel Blais and goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen on waivers.
Several other players are currently available completely for free.

An NHL Waiver Claim Already Made: Good News for Kaapo Kahkonen and the Montreal Canadiens
We knew the Carolina Hurricanes were planning to claim a goaltender, so it's obviously good news that they've already done so - and it wasn't Kahkonen.
