Boston Bruins Officially Open the Door to a Major Trade with Kent Hughes and the Canadiens
We know that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton would like to move up in order to select among the top few picks in the upcoming draft.
And on that note, the
Boston Bruins have just sent an interesting message to teams potentially interested in their 7th overall pick (such as the Canadiens).
The Bruins openly announce that their 7th overall pick is now available for trade: a door opens for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens
"We're in a unique position, picking in the top 10 for the first time in years.
We have the draft capital, and we want to improve our team in any way possible-whether it's by making the selection or exploring trades that help us right now."
Don Sweeney, General Manager of the Boston Bruins
The invitation is clearly out there!
If Caleb Desnoyers is still available at the 7th overall pick, things could get very interesting for the Canadiens.
So what would you offer for the Bruins' 7th overall pick?
Things are shaping up to be exciting for the draft, which is just around ten days away!
Desnoyers, 18 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 178-pound center who recorded 84 points in 56 games this season in the QMJHL, including 35 goals.
