We have a new confirmed departure within the Montreal Canadiens organization.

Following the confirmed exits of Connor Hughes and Brandon Gignac announced earlier today, it's now defenseman Gustav Lindstrom's turn to leave.
Once again, it's not the surprise of the century - the rumor had been circulating for a while - but it has now been officially confirmed by the Laval Rocket.

Official Announcement from the Laval Rocket: It's Over for Gustav Lindstrom Within the Canadiens Organization

See the official release from the Rocket:
We join the organization in wishing Gus Lindstrom a warm welcome home and a great return to Djurgardens!
He has signed a solid five-year contract with Djurgardens in the SHL, which is quite significant.
At 26 years old, the right-shot defenseman Gustav Lindstrom collected 11 points in 42 games this season with the Rocket (and 6 points in 32 NHL games last season).
He was the 38th overall pick by the Detroit Red Wings in 2017 and was acquired by the Canadiens (in August 2023) in the Jeff Petry trade.
Lindstrom played 14 games for the Canadiens in 2023-24.
Now, attention turns to names like Alex Barré-Boulet and Cayden Primeau, who could also abruptly exit the Canadiens' depth chart.
If it were your decision, what would you do with those two names?
