Since the Montreal Canadiens' elimination at the hands of Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, there have been many acquisition proposals.

In the past few hours, it was the excellent Benoit Brunet from RDS who proposed an acquisition for Kent Hughes and the Canadiens.
According to him, the perfect acquisition for the Montreal Canadiens can indeed be found with the New York Islanders, and it is center Bo Horvat.

Islanders players are expected to frequently come up in trade rumors this summer, as the team is likely heading toward a rebuild.
In short, on RDS last night during L'Antichambre, Brunet said the following:
"What I like about Bo Horvat is that he's a player who can do everything on the ice. [...] I was watching the Islanders play at the end of the season, and the only player who, in my opinion, showed up from start to finish in games when they were fighting for a playoff spot, was him.

He might not be the best skater, but he's an extremely smart player, and he can do everything on the ice."

I believe Horvat is exactly the type of player that could interest Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton because he rises to the occasion in big moments and is an outstanding teammate.
As we reported earlier today, Josh Anderson is good friends with Bo Horvat and was even one of the groomsmen at his wedding. Maybe Andy could help facilitate or convince his good friend Bo..
Bo Horvat, 30 years old, was the 9th overall pick by the Vancouver Canucks in 2013.
He recorded 57 points in 81 games this season (28 goals), as well as 68 points in 81 games last season (33 goals).
The center is under contract until 2031, earning a fairly reasonable $8.5 million per year.
And you, just like Benoit Brunet, do you believe he could be the ideal acquisition for the Montreal Canadiens' offense?
