It certainly brings back memories for Montreal Canadiens fans, but the goaltending situation is causing quite a stir with the Laval Rocket.

There was quite a saga over who would start last night's game in Rochester, and we have a real battle between two excellent goalies.
On one side, there's Jacob Fowler, who is probably the Montreal Canadiens' future goaltender and has been incredible with the Laval Rocket since his arrival.
On the other side, there's Cayden Primeau, who was probably the Rocket's most valuable player this season and possibly the best goaltender of the 2024-2025 AHL season.
Primeau ultimately got the start last night, and it didn't necessarily go well for him.
It nearly cost the Rocket.
In short, it was probably already the plan from the start, but last night's game confirmed that Cayden Primeau will be replaced (unless there's a huge surprise) by Jacob Fowler for the next game.
Pascal Vincent has already confirmed that both goaltenders would play, so..

Cayden Primeau sends an unexpected message as he is clearly about to lose his spot as the undisputed number-one goaltender for the Laval Rocket

All this was to set the stage for an incredible statement made by Primeau last night.
It absolutely deserved to be shared!
What does Primeau think about the fact that he will be replaced by Jacob Fowler (unless there's a huge surprise) for the next game, and probably for the following games as well?
Here's his response.
"It's definitely not the time to be selfish..

The idea is just to be ready when my turn comes.

The team comes first."

Wow! What a teammate!
Yes, a true one!
Watching the video, it's clear that his answer was sincere and honest, not just something said to please the journalists.
Hats off to Cayden Primeau!
Where would the Laval Rocket be today without his record of 21 wins and 2 regulation losses this season? Where would the Rocket be today without his .927 save percentage?
