Important Meeting Has Just Been Called by Hughes and Gorton as Insider Reveals Key Details
Last night on RDS, journalist Luc Gélinas shared some very interesting information regarding Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
The two Canadiens executives are not in Rochester because a major meeting has indeed been called in Brossard.
This meeting is focused on preparing for the draft, and possibly for the offseason in general as well.
Rest assured, Kent Hughes will be very busy in the coming weeks, and he will certainly try to complete a few trades.
Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton Call a Major Meeting Live from Brossard
Here's what Luc Gélinas from RDS had to say:
"Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are not in Rochester on Thursday and Friday night because there's a major meeting in Brossard!
All the members of the management team are already there together to prepare for the upcoming draft.
All the scouts from the different leagues are gathered, so that explains Kent Hughes' absence."
There will be some very important discussions happening today, live from the CN Sports Complex in Brossard!
I can't wait to see what Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have in store for the draft, but with the 16th and 17th overall picks in the 2025 draft, let's just say they have plenty of very interesting options.
They could move up in the first round, trade those picks for already established players, and much more!
They really have many possibilities.
Based on various preliminary rankings, names like Justin Carbonneau and/or Carter Bear could be solid selections with the 16th and 17th overall picks, but in any case, the Montreal Canadiens' draft list will start to come together today, live from Brossard.
