Logan Mailloux's debut with the St. Louis Blues is unfortunately not going as he had hoped.
While Zachary Bolduc is having an absolutely incredible start to the season with the Montreal Canadiens, Mailloux already finds himself in a precarious position.
What happened isn't too complicated... The young Mailloux's bad habits resurfaced - he caused two major turnovers in the defensive zone, one of which was especially costly for the Blues - and his head coach immediately had to step in...

Mailloux's advanced stats unfortunately paint a very unflattering picture of his performances.
It's quite something to see that Mailloux had an incredible training camp with the Blues but a very tough start to the season - while it's the complete opposite for Zack Bolduc, who had a quieter camp in Montreal but is now having an outstanding regular season start with 3 goals in 3 games.
We genuinely wish him the best moving forward.

Both players are still very young, so Mailloux still has plenty of time to make his general manager look better - but for now, it's clearly advantage Kent Hughes in this particular trade.
