We were talking about it a bit earlier today, but there is indeed a major change to the usual schedule for tonight's Montreal Canadiens game.

"The Canadiens are asking fans to be in their seats at Bell Centre for Tuesday night's home opener against the Seattle Kraken by 6:50 p.m. so they won't miss pre-game ceremony that will include a tribute to former Canadiens goalie Ken Dryden, who died last month at age 78."

- Stu Cowan
Tonight's ceremony therefore promises to be spectacular and full of emotion.

Change Announced to the Regular Schedule for Tonight's Montreal Canadiens Game

Make sure you're in your seat (at the Bell Centre or in front of the TV) by 6:50 p.m.!
It's important to note this time change.
Also note that the game is expected to start about fifteen minutes later than usual, around 7:20 p.m.!
There will therefore be a few schedule adjustments, including one major change that will actually result in a sanction for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
It will be more grand than usual, and as a result, the schedule will indeed be quite disrupted:
"Expect this year's opening ceremony to be longer than customary as there will be an homage to Ken Dryden and each player will be introduced on the ice at the sound of a song of their personal choice, Canadiens Fans are advised to be in their seat by 6:50 pm to see everything"

- Karine Hains
"The Habs are turning the Bell Centre into the ultimate pregame party zone - inside and out -so arrive early to enjoy the festivities at Canadiens Plaza in the Rio Tinto Courtyard. Here's what's on the menu for the outdoor tailgate from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.:

- 360 video booth
- Live art by Loto-Quebec Artist Series guest artist Max Charland
- TSN 690 broadcasting live
- Plus more

There's plenty happening inside the arena as well, starting with a tribute to the late Canadiens goaltending legend Ken Dryden, and followed by the co-main event: the pregame ceremony. This year, the players will be introduced onto the ice to unique and personalized songs they picked themselves. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m. to not miss a minute of the happenings prior to puck drop."

- Montreal Canadiens
"Our Habs on TSN broadcast tonight will begin at 6:45pm ET to capture the Ken Dryden tribute."

- Kenzie Lalonde
We're already so excited for tonight! Go Habs Go!
