Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens now have new options if they want to add reinforcements once again while waiting for injured players to return.

On this Sunday, two players have been placed on NHL waivers, including a former member of the Montreal Canadiens.

Here are the confirmations from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman.

Tyler Pitlick and Adam Ginning are the two players available on waivers today.
Pitlick, 34, is a 6-foot-2, 199-pound forward who was selected 31st overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010. He has 109 points in 435 career NHL games (56 goals) and played for the Montreal Canadiens during the 2021-22 season. Pitlick arrived in Montreal as part of the Tyler Toffoli trade.
Ginning, 25, is a left-shot defenseman standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 196 pounds, selected 50th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2018 (second round). He has 1 point in 16 NHL games.
Both players will learn their next destination tomorrow at 2 p.m. when waiver results come in. I would be surprised if Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens look in this direction for reinforcements, but you never know.
Very few experts saw the Canadiens acquiring Alexandre Texier after he was placed on waivers by the St. Louis Blues.
