Sad publication involving Samuel Montembeault and it's really unfortunate
A sad publication involving Montreal Canadiens' goaltender Samuel Montembeault has surfaced, and it's really frustrating.
A post proving that the CH's number one goaltender still hasn't earned the respect of NHL fans, despite his impressive performances over the past two years.
«That being said, across the NHL, he doesn't necessarily seem to have a high popularity rating. In fact, in a poll conducted by JFresh, fans were asked to rank the best goaltenders in the NHL»
- Félix Forget
Is Samuel Montembeault only the 34th best goaltender in the NHL?
You read that right. This is what was just published.
I'm not saying he deserves to be in the top-5 or even the top-10, but 34th is completely ridiculous.
Montembeault is ranked behind names such as Adin Hill, Alexandar Georgiev, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Joseph Woll, Charlie Lindgren, Connor Ingram, Darcy Kuemper, Anthony Stolarz, Jonathan Quick, Ilya Samsonov, Laurent Brossoit, and even Jake Allen.
Montembeault is behind many number 2 goaltenders in the NHL, which is really surprising.
It's sad to see how unrecognized his work is in the league.
The 27-year-old goaltender from Bécancour maintained a 3.14 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage last season behind one of the worst teams in the league.
He held an impressive positive record of 16-15-9.
And you, where would you place Samuel Montembeault in this ranking of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League?
