We have some bad news involving Montreal Canadiens forward Zachary Bolduc. The Canadiens have just released an official statement announcing that Bolduc is unfortunately currently injured.
As for the length of his absence, this is considered a "day-to-day" situation.
"Forward Zachary Bolduc will not participate in today's practice. He is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury."
Zachary Bolduc, 22 years old, is a 6-foot, 187-pound forward who recorded 36 points in 72 games last season, including 19 goals. Most notably, he put up 14 points in his last 19 games, with nine goals over that stretch.
He really seems to be on the verge of breaking out and becoming a solid second-line forward in the NHL.
Before this injury, Bolduc had been promoted to the Canadiens' second line, alongside Kirby Dach and Brendan Gallagher.
I really can't wait to see what he'll be able to accomplish in Montreal, especially on the first power-play unit with Nick Suzuki, Lane Hutson, and company.
According to the latest reports, he's indeed been on that first unit.
