The name Lane Hutson is on everyone's lips right now, both within the Montreal Canadiens organization and across the National Hockey League.
While Hutson understandably couldn't say too much about a contract extension, he still gave some clear signals-most notably that he loves Montreal and that it's important to him to spend his career in a place where he feels good.
He also mentioned that his main priority going forward is simply to keep having fun and living his passion.
That really doesn't sound like a player who's going to push his agent to play hardball and squeeze out every last dollar at the negotiation table.
Lane Hutson isn't hiding it very well-it's clear he wants to sign an 8-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens as soon as possible
Here's another quote that speaks volumes:
"When you do something you love and you get to do it, it's not really work. It's just me enjoying what I do and wanting to try to help the team any way I can. I just really enjoy it and really have fun doing it."
- Lane Hutson
