This Monday morning on BPM Sports, TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie revealed something significant regarding newcomer Alexandre Texier.
The newly signed forward, brought in by Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, did not have a good relationship with his former head coach Jim Montgomery (with the St. Louis Blues).
A former head coach's view of Alexandre Texier is revealed by an insider
Here's an excerpt of what Renaud Lavoie said:
"Don't forget that his last coach, up until very recently, was Jim Montgomery.
And Jim and him didn't get along. I'm not saying there was a feud between them, but Jim Montgomery did not like Alex Texier at all.
It's been confirmed that he's not his type of player."

When asked why Montgomery didn't like Texier, Renaud Lavoie responded that Texier is not necessarily the most courageous player.
He specified that Texier isn't a coward, but no, he's not the bravest player either.
Clearly, Montgomery wasn't a fan of the new Canadiens forward.
In any case, attention now turns to Texier's arrival in Montreal! As noted earlier, Texier has selected his new jersey number - he will wear No. 85 for the Canadiens.
Texier, 26, recorded 1 point in 8 games this season with the St. Louis Blues under Jim Montgomery. Last season, also with the Blues, Texier posted 11 points in 31 games.
