We have a last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens organization involving forward Joshua Roy
Joshua Roy's stint with the Montreal Canadiens is over for now, as he is being sent back to the Laval Rocket
This also means Roy will not accompany the Habs on their Western road trip, including the stop in Utah. It's another setback for him, and he may be sliding down the organization's depth chart.
"The Canadiens announce they've sent Joshua Roy back to Laval, meaning they'll carry 13F and 7D on this road trip (22 men total).
Jared Davidson appears to be good to go, so it made more sense to send Roy down after the signing of Alex Texier."

It's also clear that the Texier signing directly influenced the Canadiens' decision on Roy.
And the team's official announcement:
This news also means that
Florian Xhekaj will indeed accompany the team for the Western road trip.
"With Joshua Roy being sent down, it means Florian Xhekaj will accompany the Habs west this week for their 3-game road trip in Utah, Las Vegas and Colorado.
