We have a last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens organization involving forward Joshua Roy
The rumor had been circulating since the beginning of the day, and now it has just been confirmed.
Joshua Roy's stint with the Montreal Canadiens is over for now, as he is being sent back to the Laval Rocket
This also means Roy will not accompany the Habs on their Western road trip, including the stop in Utah. It's another setback for him, and he may be sliding down the organization's depth chart.

It's also clear that the Texier signing directly influenced the Canadiens' decision on Roy.

This news also means that Florian Xhekaj will indeed accompany the team for the Western road trip.
