Former NHLer André Roy's blunt take on Kirby Dach sets off a new debate in Montreal

Last week, the Montreal Canadiens organization announced that Kirby Dach would have to miss 4 to 6 weeks.
The forward suffered a foot fracture after blocking a shot from defenseman Nikita Zadorov. We all know the injury history of the 24-year-old forward, and even if this one came from a blocked shot, it's once again extremely disheartening.
While many see this as just bad luck, others, like former NHLer André Roy, see the situation from an entirely different angle.
Injuries that exasperate André Roy regarding Kirby Dach
Stopping by the show Le Retour with host Martin Lemay, Roy didn't hide his emotions about this new injury.
In fact, he's clearly had enough of Kirby Dach.
"I think it's just going to keep happening. It's not just bad luck, he's built that way. I don't have a good feeling about this guy and I'd be looking at my other options. That's how I see it. Sorry for Dach's fans but at some point, it's almost embarrassing. It makes no sense!
Yeah, it's bad luck, you get hurt and it sucks, but at some point, it makes no sense to be getting hurt like that! Blocking Zadorov's shot, last year it was the knee, the year before it was the other knee... At some point, he always has something!
I watch him in games, he gets pushed, he falls to the ice, he holds his face, goes to the bench... Stop always grabbing your face and your knee and your shoulder! It's a contact sport! It drives me nuts! I'd grab him by the throat and tell him: you're 6'4"/220 lbs, you need to stop always being hurt!"

Let's be honest, he doesn't pull any punches in his comments.
Roy is therefore sending a clear message to Kent Hughes: he should look at his other options and practically give up in the case of Kirby Dach.
It will be interesting to see how, once again, Dach comes out of this new setback. Will he be able to finish the season without another injury?
Kent Hughes may have to re-evaluate Dach's situation, following this new injury.
He may be left only to hope for a strong end of the season from number 77 in order to showcase his value, because right now it must be quite low.
