We had been waiting for this announcement for a few hours, and it has finally been confirmed late in the evening.

Joshua Roy has officially been reassigned to the Laval Rocket, allowing him to get back to playing games on a more regular basis.

Kent Hughes has announced a personnel move involving two players - Joshua Roy and Marc Del Gaizo.

See the official announcement from the Canadiens right here:
"The Canadiens have loaned forward Joshua Roy and defenseman Marc Del Gaizo to the Laval Rocket."

Roy and Del Gaizo are therefore back in Laval... Could this mean that Kaiden Guhle might return from injury to play earlier than expected, knowing that Marc Del Gaizo was the only "extra" defenseman in Montreal?
That's what we're hoping for - but let's wait and see.
At the same time, as the excellent Anthony Marcotte (from BPM Sports) mentioned, Kent Hughes had no reason to keep them in Montreal just sitting in the press box.
"With the CH and the Rocket at home over the next few days, no reason to keep the two players on the bench not playing."

- Anthony Marcotte
Marc Del Gaizo, 26 years old, is a left-handed defenseman standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 193 pounds. He was a fourth-round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2019.
He has played 55 career NHL games, all with Nashville.
Joshua Roy, 22 years old, is a 6-foot, 187-pound forward who was a fifth-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2021.
He has played 36 career NHL games, all with Montreal, and has recorded 11 points in the league.
