We have a wonderful surprise for you this morning, live from the Montreal Canadiens' practice in Quebec City.
This is THE news we've been waiting for since the concerning slash on Demidov by Nick Cousins.
Young Ivan Demidov has just stepped onto the ice, live from the Videotron Centre!

And not only is he taking part in practice, but he's a full participant, wearing a regular jersey.
That means he can take contact, and he looks to be in great shape.
What fantastic news!
For those who were worried, this happily confirms that Demidov will indeed be in the lineup for the Canadiens' first regular-season game.
Unfortunately for Nick Cousins, his mission failed.. and the league handed him a fine.
The Montreal Canadiens even put out a short post highlighting Demidov's return to the ice.

And clearly, that was the right decision!
Personally, I would also keep Demidov out for the last preseason game and bring him back into the lineup just in time for the first regular season game.
