Do you remember this story involving Corey Perry and Josh Anderson's sticks?
Corey Perry and Josh Anderson's Stick
To refresh your memory, during the famous 2021 playoffs, Corey Perry, who was then a forward for the Canadiens, scored a very important goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
A goal that allowed him to break out of a long scoreless streak, and which had been scored with a stick of Josh Anderson. (because his own had broken a little earlier)
The very superstitious Perry had therefore continued to use Josh Anderson's sticks for the next game, and the one after that, and the one after that... etc.
Well today, nearly three years later, take a look at the photo that was taken.
Yes! Corey Perry was still using Josh Anderson's sticks today with the Edmonton Oilers!
Earlier this season, when Josh Anderson was struggling to find the back of the net, maybe he should have tried Corey Perry's sticks?
Obviously, it's a joke, but the photo really made us laugh anyway. Classic Perry.
He has 4 goals and 9 points in 17 games this season.
It's incredible to see that his superstition still holds today, after all this time.
