Sam Montembeault makes a huge gesture in press conference after his team let him down yesterday
Despite his very rare tougher game last night against the Boston Bruins, Quebec goaltender Samuel Montembeault still found a way to amaze us.
Especially when an NHL goaltender allows 8 goals and gets chased from a game, it's extremely rare to see him show his face in front of journalists to answer their questions immediately after the match.
But that's what Samuel did yesterday.
He stood tall, head held high in front of the media, and he answered all the questions. It says a lot about him. Hats off.
Samuel Montembeault takes all the blame for the humiliation against the Bruins
The sadder part is that Montembeault took all the blame for the loss in Boston, even though he shouldn't have.
He put all the blame on his shoulders, but let's admit that there are many other culprits for the Habs' loss last night.
« Nick Suzuki on Sam Montembeault putting the loss to Boston on himself: "he shouldn't be too hard on himself - we definitely let him down. He's been amazing all year making big saves and we gotta play better in front of him..."

Montembeault, 27, has a record of 10-7-4 this season, an average of 3.11, and a save percentage of 0.903.
