The purpose here is not to start the rumors again, but it is really to bring you the facts.
Puljujarvi made a strong statement yesterday and his time in Edmonton seems to be coming to an end.
We clearly see here a player with tremendous talent, but who has lost all confidence in himself. He desperately wants a fresh start.
A powerful statement.
Could this be a golden opportunity for Kent Hughes to pick up this kid at (very) low cost? Can Martin St. Louis get him going again?
You be the judge, but we just want to mention that Jesse Puljujarvi's days in Edmonton really seem to be numbered. Plus, according to several reputable sources, the Oilers are practically ready to give him away for free (to clear his contract).
Puljujarvi, 24, is a 6-foot-4, 201-pound winger who was drafted fourth overall (first round) in 2016.
He had 14 goals and 36 points in 65 games last season, and 6 points in 27 games this season.
At what price?
For a late-round draft pick like a fifth-round pick, would you like Kent Hughes to take a chance?
In your opinion, would Puljujarvi do a better job than Evgenii Dadonov or Joel Armia?
We'll have to keep an eye on this one, but these are statements that could stir up a lot of things in this case. Let's just hope that the youngster can regain his confidence, because the talent is there, without a doubt.
