At a press conference earlier today for his mid-season review, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes immediately wanted to deny a big rumor circulating about Evgenii Dadonov and his attitude.
It's not true that he was "sulking" and making his displeasure felt, quite the opposite. Hughes explained that Dadonov was the first one to stay on for overtime, and even, that he was encouraging the other players scratched from the lineup to go with him.
Kent Hughes did indeed go on to reveal that Dadonov has already kept all of the "healthy scratch" players who wanted to leave the ice early, in Florida, to work harder with him.
We love hearing that! Kudos to Dadonov, and it proves that his recent successes are not due to chance, but due to his hard work and great attitude.
