We've just had a major development in the past few minutes involving a trade centered around Trevor Zegras.

After months of speculation and rumors, the forward has officially been traded.
The Montreal Canadiens submitted an offer, but in the end, the Ducks chose the one from the Philadelphia Flyers, which included Ryan Poehling and two draft picks.
That said, Maxime Truman (who has been following this story for a while) just revealed some very interesting new information.

New information about what the Montreal Canadiens offered the Anaheim Ducks to acquire Trevor Zegras

Not only does he reconfirm that the Canadiens were in talks with the Ducks (regarding a trade involving Trevor Zegras), but he also provides more detail on what Kent Hughes was willing to give up.
"Today, I can say that draft picks and prospects the Canadiens have given up on were discussed." - Maxime Truman

Is he referring to names like Filip Mesar and Joshua Roy?
Have the Canadiens given up on Josh Roy?
His post was made before the official announcement of the trade between the Anaheim Ducks and the Philadelphia Flyers, but the information remains relevant and interesting.
It shows us what Kent Hughes was willing to offer for Zegras - and possibly what he'd give for another similar player.
I'd be very surprised if a name like Logan Mailloux is included in the "prospects the Canadiens have given up on" category.. Very surprised!
So we're likely talking more about players like Mesar, Roy, and possibly Riley Kidney and Sean Farrell.
Do you think Kent Hughes should have made a little extra effort to beat the Flyers' offer?
More details to come.
