We have an interesting and concrete development regarding the NHL trade market. It also indeed concerns the brother of a young Montreal Canadiens player.
He is the brother of Luke Mittelstadt, a young prospect of the Montreal Canadiens, and he is a second-line center in the NHL! Well, well..
An imminent trade for center Casey Mittelstadt
We know that, despite the absolutely exceptional summer Kent Hughes has had (notably with the acquisitions of players like
Zachary Bolduc and
Noah Dobson), there is still a major issue to address.
Yes, we're talking here about the much-discussed second-line center.
Second-line centers are extremely rare on the trade market, so it's still big news to hear that a new one is available and will likely be traded soon.
Will Kent Hughes go after the brother of Luke Mittelstadt, a young Canadiens prospect, to cap off his summer of work?
Casey Mittelstadt, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound center who was the 8th overall pick by the Buffalo Sabres in 2017.
Over the past three seasons, he has produced at paces of 40 points, 58 points, and 59 points (per 82 games).
So he's solid, and personally, I really believe he could be an interesting solution for the Canadiens.
And he won't cost that much to acquire!
