We have some action today within the Montreal Canadiens organization.
Kent Hughes just made a move, and he has sent defenseman
Marc Del Gaizo back to the Laval Rocket.

It's an interesting personnel move for two reasons!
An intriguing personnel move for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, involving defenseman Marc Del Gaizo
John Beecher, 24 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound center who was the 30th overall pick of the Boston Bruins in 2019 (first-round pick).
He played with the well-known U.S. National Development Team (20 points in 27 games) and has accumulated 22 points in 136 career NHL games.
With Newhook and Dach out for the long haul,
Beecher could quietly become a perfect fit: an NHL-ready centre who brings size, reliability, and penalty-killing value without the Habs having to spend a single asset.
Marc Del Gaizo, 26 years old, is a 5-foot-11, 188-pound defenseman who was a fourth-round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2019.
He's a left-shot defenseman and has played 55 career NHL games (all with Nashville), recording two goals, 10 assists (12 points), 23 penalty minutes, and maintaining a -1 rating.
More details will follow in the next few hours.
