The Door Has Just Opened for a Canadiens-Bruins Trade Involving Former Top-10 Pick
We have a major development, right in the middle of August, on the NHL trade market and for the Montreal Canadiens.
What is the biggest need for the Tricolore right now?
That's right, a second-line center!
That's right, another second-line center from the Bruins!
A trade involving center Casey Mittelstadt will soon be announced by the Boston Bruins?
On top of that, he's the brother of a current Canadiens prospect, defenseman
Luke Mittelstadt, who loves Montreal.
Second-line centers are rare on the trade market, so it's very interesting to learn that a new one is available and will likely be traded soon.
Personally, if I were in Kent Hughes' shoes, I would clearly be contacting the Boston Bruins about Mittelstadt.
Casey Mittelstadt, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound center who was selected 8th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2017.
Over the past three seasons, he has produced at paces of 40 points, 58 points, and 59 points (per 82 games).
He's solid, and personally, I really believe he could be an interesting solution for the Tricolore.
Also, I don't expect the price to acquire him to be very high, considering his value was lower than
Charlie Coyle's at the most recent NHL trade deadline.
I believe that a player like
Jayden Struble could really seriously interest the Bruins.
