In the last few seconds, live from RDS, insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed that Kent Hughes is currently receiving calls for a trade involving David Savard.

«I know there are teams, just yesterday, who called Kent Hughes to ask if the price has changed for a trade involving David Savard, and the message from Kent Hughes to other teams, according to my information, is that no the price has not changed and he does not intend to change the price by 3 PM because the Canadiens are perfectly ready to keep David Savard [...], or to trade him this summer or to trade him at the next trade deadline.

Teams called again yesterday and teams are still trying to acquire David Savard.» - Pierre LeBrun

Anyway, there's a lot of chatter behind the scenes and Kent Hughes is spending a lot of time on the phone! It's reassuring to see that the Habs' GM is asking a high price for Savard, so if the veteran defender is traded, the return could be very interesting.

Clearly, David Savard is THE name to watch today with the Montreal Canadiens.
